Former Royal Bank of Scotland









 Former Royal Bank of Scotland 30 Bothwell Street now being used as a pub.

The Architect was James Miller built in 1935 a rather severe looking building, the friezes that decorate the building are the highlight of the building, the friezes are by Gilbert Bayes who was an esteemed and prolific British sculptor whose long career spanned the Arts & Crafts era, the New Sculpture Movement, and the Art Deco period.

Vic 32


 Vic 32  as seen from Braehead shopping centre, she was coal fired but has since been converted to a bio fuel. People who had never seen a puffer or watched Para Handy would sometimes phone the coastguard thinking she was on fire!

The Barclays Glasgow Campus






The Barclays Glasgow Campus is a £330 million, purpose-built campus and one of Scotland's largest inward investments, located on the south bank of the River Clyde in Tradeston. The campus is a mixed-use development with five buildings—three new and two restored listed buildings—that house 5,000 staff, along with public amenities including a rooftop cafe bar, community exhibition spaces, a street food market, and a gym overlooking the river. It serves as Barclays' European Headquarters.

Tollcross Park Glasshouse







 Tollcross Glasshouse is a "B" listed building which was recently restored at a cost of £1million pounds, but it has been underused with the council not having a plan to use it for something specific.

It is hoped that the building of toilets and a kitchen if built will attract a caffe, meanwhile the unguarded building has been targeted by vandals with over twenty windows smashed.  


Battlefield Rest









 Battlefield Rest is a B-listed building that was built in 1915  as a tram station and newsagent, the architect was Frank Burnet

 After a demolition order in the early 1990s was stopped by public petition, businessman Marco Giannasi restored it, opening it as a successful Italian bistro in 1994.

Central Thread Agency







Former Central Thread Agency 36 Bothwell Street built in 1900 by H and D Barclay.

The style of the building is Baroque Franco/Flemish, a very busy building with a lot going on, decorated Ionic Columns and carvings.

It was built for the Paisley firm J and P Coats thread manufactures.

 Washington Street Public School, Anderson, built in 1889. The school closed in the 1870s.
