Springburn Winter Gardens

Springburn Winter Gardens was built in 1900 and was in active use until 1983, when a storm caused severe damage and planned demolition was stopped in 1985 when the building - the largest such structure in Scotland was granted listed status.

The restoration of the A listed Springburn Winter Gardens has taken a significant step forward with a £1.129million funding award from the Regeneration Capital Grant Fund (RCGF), an award that was accepted by a Glasgow City Council committee today (23 April 2026).

Tollcross Park Glasshouse

Tollcross Glasshouse is a "B" listed building which was recently restored at a cost of £1million pounds, but it has been underused with the council not having a plan to use it for something specific.

It is hoped that the building of toilets and a kitchen if built will attract a caffe, meanwhile the unguarded building has been targeted by vandals with over twenty windows smashed.
