The Barclays Glasgow Campus






The Barclays Glasgow Campus is a £330 million, purpose-built campus and one of Scotland's largest inward investments, located on the south bank of the River Clyde in Tradeston. The campus is a mixed-use development with five buildings—three new and two restored listed buildings—that house 5,000 staff, along with public amenities including a rooftop cafe bar, community exhibition spaces, a street food market, and a gym overlooking the river. It serves as Barclays' European Headquarters.

Central Thread Agency







Former Central Thread Agency 36 Bothwell Street built in 1900 by H and D Barclay.

The style of the building is Baroque Franco/Flemish, a very busy building with a lot going on, decorated Ionic Columns and carvings.

It was built for the Paisley firm J and P Coats thread manufactures.

Savings Bank Of Glasgow

 The former Savings Bank of Glasgow, located on the corner of Argyle Street and Shaftesbury Street in Anderston, is a prominent landmark. It's a Grade A listed building, known for its distinctive architecture and historical significance. The building, designed by James Salmon, junior and J Gaff Gillespie, features a four-story tenement with the original bank at the ground floor. It's also known for its Art Nouveau elements and a peacock mosaic at the entrance, created by the British & Italian Mosaic Company. The Glasgow Savings Bank, was said to have once been the largest savings bank in Scotland.

100 Bothwell Street



 The current building at 100 Bothwell Street in Glasgow was built in 1989.

It was developed by McKay Securities and for a number years was used by the Student Loan Company.

The glass tower is undergoing a redevelopment.

Bothwell Street

 Built in 1891 by H & D Barclay.The building has elevations on both Bothwell St & Wellington St. The building is listed as a category B status. The building was originally built for the Central Thread Agency.

Pyramid at Anderston








The Pyramid at Anderston was designed by Glasgow architects Honeyman, Jack and Robertson for The Church of Scotland, and was completed in 1968. In 2019 the building changed hands and became a community centre as part of the redevelopment of the Anderston area. The building is home to twenty two rooms – used as meeting and workspaces as well as three larger community halls, including the beautiful main Pyramid space.
