92 Tobago Street Police Station, dating from 1868. View from the north west. It was closed for business in 1981. Apparently, it housed a courtroom, a mortuary, and 30 cells. The building is now sadly derelict.

Police Station and Central Court
On the corner of Turnbull Street and St Andrews Street is the ruin of the an old Police Station and Court Room complete with with cells.
The building is in the French Renaissance style ,red brick being used through out the building.
The architect was Alexander Beith McDonald ,he incorporated some nice statues and carvings and a frieze of the Glasgow Coat of Arms into the front of the building.
The building was used as a police museum for a short time, sadly when it was vacated it became a target for vandals and soon found itself on the Buildings at Risk Register.
The building has been sold to developers in the hope that it will be turned into apartment's.

Pitt street police station
The Pitt Street offices, built in 1924, were previously home to Strathclyde Police, which was the country's largest force from 1975 until the merger of the eight Scottish Police Forces in 2013.
The building has since been demolished and flats now stand on the site of the old police station.
