The Duke


 The Duke pub on Duke Street in Glasgow was established in 1874. While the current establishment is known as "The Duke", it has previously operated under other names, including The White Horse, The Great Eastern Bar, and The Bristol Bar.

Our Lady and St Francis School




 Our Lady and St Francis secondary school Greendyke Street across from Glasgow Green.

The school was designed by the famous Glasgow architectural practice of Gillespie, Kidd and Coia.     It has to be said that  its not one of their most inspiring buildings, it was used as office space after the school closed but is now vacant.

Ladywell School









 Ladywell school 94 Duke Street, built in 1858 by  John Burnet senior, originally built as Alexanders school for the owner of the adjacent mill .

The building is in a Italianate style with a slim tower.

The sculptured heads are Aristotlle  ,Milton ,Shakespeare and Michelangelo, carved by John Crawford.
