The Palace of Art in Bellahouston park was built for The Empire Exhibition in 1938 by Launcelot Ross,it was the only permanent building of the exhibition, built to show the civic art collection.

The school was designed by the famous Glasgow architectural practice of Gillespie, Kidd and Coia. It has to be said that its not one of their most inspiring buildings, it was used as office space after the school closed but is now vacant.
