Battlefield Rest









 Battlefield Rest is a B-listed building that was built in 1915  as a tram station and newsagent, the architect was Frank Burnet

 After a demolition order in the early 1990s was stopped by public petition, businessman Marco Giannasi restored it, opening it as a successful Italian bistro in 1994.

Central Thread Agency







Former Central Thread Agency 36 Bothwell Street built in 1900 by H and D Barclay.

The style of the building is Baroque Franco/Flemish, a very busy building with a lot going on, decorated Ionic Columns and carvings.

It was built for the Paisley firm J and P Coats thread manufactures.

Cook & Sons Factory

  Cook and Sons, Saw Manufacturing business on the corner of Elliot Street. The building dates from the 1870s. Unfortunately, the building is now in a state of dilapidation.
