Glasgow High Court

 Glasgow High Court, a relatively new building which is now the main entrance to the High Court complex  located on Mart Street, just off Saltmarket. It was carefully designed to be of similar height to the old building and was constructed with matching coloured sandstone.

Glasgow Savings Bank

 

The Glasgow Savings Bank at Parkhead Cross was built in 1908 to encourage saving among the working class. The distinctive architecture, designed by John Keppie, includes a tall corner tower with a dome and an ornate entrance featuring the Royal Coat of Arms of Scotland. 

The building was designed by John Keppie in a Baroque style. 

A tall corner tower with intricate carved details.and a domed banking hall to the rear.

Giffnock grey sandstone was used which is distinctive from the typical red ashlar found in the area.

The Annan Gallery 164 Woodlands Road ,Established over 150 years, the Annan Gallery has promoted in turn each of the major Scottish Art movements and their predominant artists. A tradition that carries on today.
