Tobago Street Police Station
92 Tobago Street Police Station, dating from 1868. View from the north west. It was closed for business in 1981. Apparently, it housed a courtroom, a mortuary, and 30 cells. The building is now sadly derelict.

Tron Steeple
Trongate tower dates from 1592,the spire 1636 and the arches from 1855.
The original church was St Mary and St Anne but it fell into disrepair after the Reformation but was rebuilt in 1592 and was known as the Tron Kirk.
In 1793 it was burnt down by the Hellfire Club,eventually being rebuilt in 1794 by James Adam and is currently the Tron Theatre.
Heilen Jessie 374 Gallowgate
The tenement block where the pub Heilen Jessie is housed is the oldest tenement block in Glasgow, and is situated in the Gallowgate area of the city. The tenement dates from 1771, the year Sir Walter Scott was born. The pub is well worth a visit with a good selection of beers and whiskies.

Glickmans Sweet Shop
Glickman's Sweet shop has been keeping the sweet toothed happy since 1903,they are still using family recipes to make their sweets and chocolates ,based in London Road just a few minutes from the Barras.
