Originally built as Dundas Vale teachers centre built in 1835 by David Hamilton, the building is "B" listed and used for office space.
Educational reformer David Stow campaigned for a teacher training centre, the first of its kind in Great Britain. The building is fairly plain, but does have a classical clock tower belfry.
The school was known as the "Normal School.
