ST Andrews by the Green as the name suggests lies opposite Glasgow Green at the start of the city's East End.
The Church is a very simple plain box design, it has a filled pediment and very plain windows.
The Church was built in 1750,the architect's being William Paul and Andrew Hunter, the denomination was Episcopalian which didn't go down to well in an area that was staunch Presbyterian .
Things got worse when it was found to have cushioned seats, but worst of all was that it had an organ, music in the church was despised by hard-line Protestant's .
The master mason and architect Andrew Hunter was excommunicated for his involvement with the church. Its now being used an office.
